So, you're thinking of hiring a health coach... You’re looking to improve your health in some way shape or form and you want to invest the time to gain the knowledge to make some real, positive, sustainable changes. I’m going to help you out, because the last thing I want is to see people throwing money at a wellness coach only to be given advice that is, in a word, unhelpful.

  • A good health coach should give you more than a meal plan; they should give you an education.

  • A good health coach should make you have some “a-ha” moments.

  • A good health coach should have the passion and the knowledge to actually improve your understanding of how your body thrives on nourishing foods and movement.

  • A good health coach should empower you to improve your lifestyle, not just your diet.

I recently sat through a presentation where a wellness coach gave the advice that everybody already knows. Do not pay money for this type of advice. Make these well-known improvements BEFORE you invest in a coach.

  1. Eliminate the greatest health hazard in today's food. Chemically altered fats - canola, vegetable, corn, soy, sunflower and safflower oils . These are found in an array of heavily processed snacks and meal products, including frozen items.

  2. Eliminate processed foods. Foods in a box, foods in a bag, foods with ingredients. Chips, Hamburger Helper, frozen pizzas, frozen dinners, cereal. These are not nutritious, but you know that.

  3. Eliminate refined carbohydrates. This is your typical white-flour-baked-goods stuff. Pastries, buns, white bread, pizza crusts, pasta. This is not news to you.

  4. Eliminate sugary foods. Candy. Milk chocolate. Cookies. Sweetened yogurt. I know, but keep reading!

  5. Eliminate sugary drinks. Pop, Gatorade, and yes, even orange juice. Alcohol (all types) falls into this category too.

  6. Eat more vegetables. Make veggies half your plate at each meal. They are high in fiber which is good for your gut, your appetite, and they are packed full of all the micronutrient and phytochemicals that you need for your body to function properly. But you already knew vegetables are good for you!

If you do these things, you should see an improvement in your health and energy. And you certainly shouldn’t have to pay one penny for this kind of advice.

In fact, I have a FREE e-book that can help you implement these changes. Download it HERE.

If you don’t achieve the wellness result you were hoping for after making all of those changes, you may need to address more specific barriers. THAT is when you should hire a Primal Health Coach - when you’re doing everything “right” and it’s still not working. When your poor health, stubborn weight, or whatever-it-may-be is perplexing you to the point of frustration, a generic program won’t help you uncover the solution.

You need to understand that health and longevity can be altered by lifestyle behaviors. You need to break free from the conventional wisdom dogma that keeps you in a vicious cycle of poor health. You need an integrative approach using scientifically validated nutrition and fitness intelligence. You need a deep dive into ten simple ancestral wellness principles that will help you achieve sustainable transformation.

Do you want to feel better? Do you want to ditch the extra weight you’ve been carrying around? Then do the things that you already know you need to do. And if that doesn’t work: hire a Primal Health Coach.
